The newest roller coaster opened at Universals Islands of Adventure in June of 2021. Similar to other thrill rides in the parks guest have to store bags and loose items in lockers to ride. But because of the twist and turns this ride takes you on guest have to completely empty their pockets before being allowed to ride.
Unlike the other locker stops this ride has the lockers located in the line for the ride. While waiting to get to the lockers the line keeps you entertained with windows where you might see raptors running by and lockers of the staff. Look for fun easter eggs like books written by the characters in the lockers.
There is an exam rooms with a few caged raptors that move around.
There is a video presentation featuring Dr.Wu. After guest store all items in a locker including cell phones, you then have to pass through a metal detector just to be sure. Near the loading area there are videos with Claire and Owen and Owen is trying to talk guest out of riding.
Guests on the coaster are only restrained by a lap bar to make it even more terrifying. If you can keep your eyes open you might spot a raptor or two throughout. I didn’t want any spoilers before riding so I won’t give any away either, you can find plenty on youtube. I would highly recommend for all roller coaster enthusiast but Hagrids is still my favorite Universal roller coaster.
