Last year Universal closed down the Shrek 4D show and the Monster Cafe to make way for a whole section of the park dedicated to Despicable me and minions. This new Minion Land with feature a second ride called Illumination’s Villain-con minion blast where guest will get to join other supervillains from the franchise to become a supervillain too. Currently you can experience the Minion Mayhem ride. Check out the new Minion blast ride here.
There will be several new dining options with the new land including the Minion cafe, Bake my day, Pop-a-nana and Freeze ray pops.
A new meet and greet area will be available too in the Illumination theater which will feature characters from Despicable me and the Sing movies.
While Universal has not released the official opening date with summer just around the corner it can’t be too long now.
