Disney World is giving the MagicBand an upgrade for the big 50th anniversary. The current bands act as park tickets, Fastpass (Lightning lane) tickets, room keys and let guest make purchases. All these features will be included but the new bands will offer more interactive features. The bands will light up with the fireworks at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. In Star Wars land at Hollywood Studios you can play a bounty hunter game. They will even interact with the fab 50 statues throughout the parks.
These new bands will be available in 2022 and will be offered at a discounted price for hotel guest and Annual passholders. I am excited to see what other fun features these will have.
