The Crystal Palace is a table service located just off main street. It has been several years since our family has dined here back when it was a character buffet. Now that the girls are older I don’t think they missed the Winnie the Pooh characters but Disney still has them in topiary near the entrance.

The meal starts with a seasonal salad topped with candied pecans and a vinaigrette which I enjoyed but the kids refused to touch mainly because of the pickled onions. They also bring mini cornbread muffins half are plain the others were cheddar-bacon but they just tasted like the plain ones only more dry. In addition to the butter they also had a hot pepper jelly that was not really spicy but helped the dryness of the muffins.

At Disney the kids meals are for kids 9 and under by my 12 year old wasn’t finding anything on the adult menu that she wanted so our waitress was nice enough to let her order from the kids menu. She got the chicken leg with green beans and roasted potatoes.

The youngest stuck with her favorite mac n cheese and wanted french fries so we got closest thing, roasted potatoes that she wasn’t a big fan of and for her other side she choose the seasonal fruit which was grapes.

My middle kiddo loves all things from the sea she chose the seared catfish with carrots and potatoes. She said the fish was good doesn’t know that she would choose it again.

I ordered the fire-roasted prime rib, I asked for medium so that the kids would try it too but it would have been better med-rare. The prime rib comes with a red wine au jus and horseradish sauce. The adult meals have preselected sides this came with asparagus and au gratin potatoes but I would imagine you can ask to substitute.

The meal end with this dessert platter to share, they were more than big enough to split 4 ways. Going clockwise they have humming bird cake, banana cream pie, chocolate cupcake and peach cobbler with cream sauce to pour over. The kids all like the cup cake and I really enjoyed the banana cream pie. Unfortunately none of us like the peach cobbler.

We all left the meal with very full tummies and the girls are already asking to go back again. This is a must try if looking for a relaxing sit down meal at the Magic Kingdom.
