At Disneyland’s California adventure park changes are underway to make way for a new Pixar themed land called Pixar Pier. Many of the rides already exist but are getting a makeover to fit the new themed areas. Pixar Pier will feature 4 areas based on favorite Disney and Pixar characters. This area will feature new and updated rides and restaurants.
- California screamin’, Mickeys fun wheel and Ariel’s grotto restaurant will close on January 8th 2018 as part of the re-imagining.
The new areas will be themed around Toy Story, the Incredibles, Inside out and the 4th area is a combination of all the Pixar characters.
Some rides will still remain as they are now and will be part of a new land named Paradise Park. This includes The little mermaid ride, jumpin’ jellyfish, Goofy’s Sky school, Silly symphony swings and golden zephyr.
This new area will debut at the Pixar fest taking place starting April 13th 2018 with additional attractions opening summer 2018.
