Up until now we always skipped dining at the Rainforest cafe because they used to have many locations all across the US so when we would dine at Disney we chose restaurants that could only be found on property, but the girls really wanted to eat here so we stopped in on our last visit.

There are 2 different locations at Disney World we opted for the one right at the entrance to Animal Kingdom but they also have a location at Disney Springs. Both locations allow for reservations which we did not make but probably should have.

We started off the meal with the awesome appetizer adventure which came with spinach dip, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders and southwest eggrolls.

My youngest ordered the Jurassic nuggets but they were out of the dinosaur shapes, but she was fine with that. The packaged apples it came with were a disappointing when she got fresh fruit as her side and had we know she would have chosen better.

For our other kids meal we got Niles catch which was tilapia with rice and corn for the side. You could order the fish grilled or fried so we went with grilled and my daughter said it was really good.

The was a special they had with fried and scampi shrimp which came with seasonal vegetables and rice.

We finished the meal with the sparkling volcano dessert, this was the perfect amount for the 4 of us ‘to share.

Everyone enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere made it fun for the kids. While we were there it did “storm” twice, every so often there is a thunderstorm (no real water) in the dining area. They also have fake animals throughout and we were encouraged by our waitress to explore.
