This past weekend our family had a chance to check out one of the newer kids museums in the St.Louis area.

The Health Works museum is a bit smaller than the kids museums we normally go to with the kids. The exhibits here are all based on health science.

The main attraction here is this beyond life sized man with exposed bone and muscle and interactive element throughout.

There are even a few gross science displays here which the kids always enjoy. This includes burping, farting, body odors and even poop.

There is a small market and garden for kids to play in.

There is a real kitchen area where the workers can give healthy eating tips and have live cooking demonstrations.

The kids enjoyed playing in the replicated doctor and dentist offices.

In the pharmacy area the kids got to make their own capsules to fill a prescription for pretend patient.

While we were here we also enjoyed an interactive show that talked about eating healthy and making good food choices. The girls enjoyed playing here but since it was on the smaller side we won’t be back unless they expand more or change up the exhibits.

Health Works museum is located just a block away from the Science center at 1100 Mackland Ave. St.Louis MO 63110.

Open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30am until 4:30 pm.

Admission is $7 per person ages 3 and up.
