Living on the land is a slow-moving boat ride without height restrictions so the whole family can ride. You can find the ride inside the land pavilion along with Soarin’ around the world.

The ride starts by taking you through different climates including the rainforest and prairie lands of America. The remainder of the ride takes guest through a working greenhouse and living laboratory.

Food grown in the greenhouse is used in the meals for Sunshine seasons and Garden Grill. The Garden Grill is table service restaurant with rotating views that look down on the ride.

In the tropics greenhouse guest there are plants from tropical regions all over the world. We have seen bananas, jackfruit, pineapple and dragonfruit.

You will go through the fish farming section, here are tilapia, bass, catfish and shrimp used in the Coral Reef restaurant. They also use the fish as part of aquaponics.

The string greenhouse has many of its plans being grown vertically allowing for fruits and vegetables to be grown in special shapes. Keep your eyes open for Mickey shaped vegetables.

The last section is the creative greenhouse where you get a glimpse of the future of agriculture. You can also see into the Biotechnology lab housed here where onsite research on crops as well as pest control solutions. The ride last about 15 minutes all together and is a nice rest from the Florida heat or rain. We usually ride at least once a trip because it rarely has a long wait and the kids like seeing all the different plants.
