Tucked away in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom is one of our must do rides. This is an indoor ride/show which is great for getting out of the Florida heat or rain. The ride has theater style seats and the seats rotate through 4 different scenes all depicting a different time in the past and future.

Each scene takes place around a different holiday and what technology was like during a period in the past or what they think it may be like in the future. The first scene is set in the 1900’s at the turn of the century before electricity was in the home. With each scene change a catchy tune is played singing about ” A great big, beautiful tomorrow” which will likely be stuck in your head by the end and rivals that of Its a small world.

You then go to the 1920s and the 1940s and hear about all the progress being made to everyday life including the addition of electricity to the homes, radio and television.

The final scene is set in what they think the 21st century would be like including a voice activated oven. The gamily plays virtual reality game and talk about all the things that are now available like car phones and laser discs. Kids may not enjoy this ride as much as the adults who can relate to the big ways technology has grown over the last century.
