Last year the St.Louis Zoo opened a new dinosaur area where the children’s zoo was previously located. If you have visited the childrens zoo before it closed you will be familiar with the layout as that did not change. They kept the play area with the slide that goes through the otter pond.

While admission to the zoo is free this area does required ticket for admission. The cost is $5.95 per person ages 2 and up and is included in the adventure pass or free with membership.

New this year is the dino dig site that lets kids dig up fossils in the rock bed or unearth a dinosaur skeleton using brushes just like the paleontologist would.

The water play area is open for kids to cool off if you didn’t already get sprayed by the dinosaur near the dig site.

The indoor area is mostly just a gift shop and restroom or just place to cool off from the heat. They do offer a few snacks and drinks for purchase as well.

Inside the gift shop you can see some jelly fish in the aquarium.

The dinosaurs through the park move and make noise and one even spray visitor with water. This is a fun experience for any dinosaur lover. Kids will love being able to run around, definitely worth visiting at least once. Dinoroarus is open daily from now until October 31st.
