Epcots World Showcase has so many delicious dining options and one of our families favorites is the table service in the Germany pavilion. The food here is like German comfort food and if you are a fan of sausage there is plenty to enjoy.
The theming behind this restaurant is like the popular Oktoberfest. The tables sit up to 8 and many times several groups are sat together. There are 3 levels of seating and all focus around a central stage with the buffet in the back. The castmembers here are all from Germany, the exact part is located on their name tags.
Since we are celebrating Oktoberfest of course there’s a nice selection of beers which come in either half or full liters. They also have a beer flight with 4 beers to try or if you’re not into beer they have a few wine options as well. Your meal comes with a non-alcoholic beverage and the beer will be an extra charge but worth it.
The food here is served buffet style, starting with a selection of cold items. There are 2 sides of the buffet and the first half is identical on either side, as you get towards the middle the items are shared between the 2.
The beer cheese soup seen here pairs perfectly with the pretzel rolls. We have also had a very tasty mushroom soup during dinnertime.
For dessert you have to try the bavarian cheesecake (the white triangles above) its so light for a cheesecake. They also have the black forest cake rolls seen on the end. This is a restaurant I try to enjoy a little of everything because its not something I can find at our local restaurants.
The atmosphere here is just so much fun. One of the reasons our family keeps coming back is a combination of the food and the great entertainment. The band plays at specific times throughout the day so we try to book our reservation with time to get our food before they begin so the girls are not distracted from eating.
The show features a variety of Bavarian entertainment including a traditional oompah band and they even invite guest to come dance on the floor in front of the stage. Our girls always have a blast getting to dance and just get all the wiggles out. I can’t say enough great things about this place, its highly recommended from the whole family!
