Disney World is a great place for family vacations so of course they have places for kids to run off some energy after waiting in lines all day. It’s also a good distraction for little ones who aren’t quite tall enough for the rides.

In Epcot you will find an indoor play area inside the gift shop for Mission Space. This is perfect for taking a break during the hot summer days.

If other members of your party are riding Mission Space they can meet up with you here as the ride exits into the gift shop.

There are 2 play areas in 1, they have section for kids age 2-5 and the other is for kids age 5-12.

* This area maybe closed during the Splash Mountain refurbishment

In the Magic Kingdom there is a tiny play area under Splash Mountain. This playground is more for toddlers than school aged kids so it’s perfect for little brother/sister to play while big kids ride Splash mountain or Big thunder mountain which is right next door.

In Animal Kingdom in DinoLand USA there is a big play area called the boneyard. This area has 2 spaces with plenty to do with kids of all ages. There are slides and even a dinosaur bone dig area. It is quite big and thankfully only has 1 exit because it’s easy to loose track of them.

The Honey I shrunk the kids playground at Hollywood Studios was closed to make way for Toystory and Starwars land. This was fun for kids but not so much for adults as there were lots of little caves and tunnels the kids could hide out in.
