Earlier this week Universal made the announcement that after 14 years the Blue Man Group will no longer preform at the Universal Orlando resort. The show shut down with the pandemic back in early 2020 along with other attractions at the theme parks. The Blue Man Group said they do eventually plan on doing shows again in cities across the country, so fans of the show will be able to see them again in the future.
Universal also quietly announced the closure of the Day in the Park with Barney stage show. This has also be shut down since the parks reopened during the pandemic along with the indoor play area. Most of the Kidzone area had to be shutdown for guest safety when the park reopened last June. My kids never watched Barney but they still enjoyed the indoor playground on the hot Florida days. Hopefully Universal has plans to reimagine the Kidzone area with more recent shows and movies as the current characters were more popular with 80’s and 90’s kids.
