Vising Disney World in 2026? The rides frequently close down for refurbishments which can last for a few months up to a year or more. There are also rides and attractions that are closing down permanently to make way for new lands and attractions. The biggest changes are coming to Dinoland at Animal Kingdom, the whole area will be closing February 2026.

Magic Kingdom

• Big Thunder Mountain railroad – closed for refurbishment until Spring 2026
• Carousell of progress – closed for refurbishment TBA 2026
• Buzz Lightyear Space ranger spin- closed for refurbishment August 2025 until TBA 2026
• Pete’s silly side show – closing for refurbishment January 5th 2026 until TBA

Epcot

• Frozen Ever After -closing for refurbishment January 26 2026 until Feb 2026
• Soarin’ Around the World – changing to Soarin around America May 2026

Animal Kingdom

• Dinoland USA -closing permanently February 2nd 2026
• Dinosaur – closing permanetly February 2nd 2026

Hollywood Studios

• Mickey Shorts theater – closed for refurbishment
• Rock ‘n’ roller coster – closing for refurbishment March 2nd 2026 until summer 2026

Skyliner closed January 25th-31st
